A quick note to the loyal readers out there (and all 3 of you know who you are) - man down. I repeat, man down. A key member of the team won't be participating in this Saturday's wannabe epic battle between the Fightin' Texas Aggies and the Oklahoma State Cowboys - 6 year season ticket holder Pat McAggie is out. For those of you who receive our VIP email access (for 1200 pesos a year), you already knew this, but like our overpaid and under-performing "coach," I wanted to offer this tidbit to the masses. We're hopeful Pat can heal up and bounce back for what has been a biannual slaughter in Lubbock that is to be played next week, so keep him in your hearts and prayers.
Speaking of prayers, we'll need a lot of them beginning Saturday. I have a lot of respect for Okie State. We were fortunate to beat them (by a blocked extra point up at their place) last year and I expect them to be roaring and ready to go for this Saturday's game. Up for grabs is 1st place of the Big 12 South. They have the best receiver in the entire Big 12 (Adarius Bowman) and an overall solid offense, so I expect them to get their points. If our secondary plays solid and doesn't give up the big play and our offense can sustain drives that result in TDs then I like our chances. Our special teams play still scares the $#!+ out of me, but such is life.
It would also help if we had strong showing by a multitude of our best offensive players (Lane, Goodson, McGee & Bennett). I expect that Kyle Field will be rocking and raucous. I may not like most of the decisions that our "coach" has made, but that won't stop me from being the best 12th Man I can be for our players. Pat will be there in spirit and I might even take some skin shavings from him so that a part of him is present (just kidding - that's a bit too much). This is the last home game before 2 straight on the road. As the verbose Aaron Anzuldua once stated, "Nothin' to it, but to do it."

Is that the same Aaron Aanzuldua who got accepted into Tech's engineering program?
I do love reading Scott's blog posts.....if only for the witty humor in his comments. Skin shavings? Really?
